Radiation Area Monitors are crucial to determine exposure levels in enclosed areas of radiation activity. The radiation area monitors measure and display the amount of radiation present in the work environment. This enables the radiation workers to make informed decisions before carrying out any activities involving radiation exposures.
EECI is proud to introduce the DZM series of area radiation monitors. These monitors are designed to measure Gamma and X-Rays in nuclear laboratories, power plants, irradiation plants as well as during NDT radiography testing.
The Geiger-Muller detector based DZM series are built to with stand the rugged work environments of radiation facilities – they are IP63 rated, have a compact metal chassis and are immunized against EMI/RFI interference. The large 7 segment display allows the workers to note the environmental radiation from a safe distance. The onboard computer and touchscreen allows the users to set parameters in person or through a remote interface. Real time radiation readings and reports can be viewed on the EECIRAD central control software.
Based on the measurement range requirement, the monitors are available in various configurations:
– DZM10m : 0.001 mR/Hr to 10.0 mR/Hr
– DZM100m : 0.01 mR/Hr to 100.00 mR/Hr
– DZM1 : 0.01 mR/Hr to 1.00 R/Hr
– DZM10 : 0.1 mR/Hr to 10.0 R/Hr
