The DSM series are rugged and lightweight instruments designed for quick and reliable Gamma and X-ray dose rates and dose measurements. The survey meters have separate alarm thresholds for dose rate and dose with an intuitive easy menu-driven interface. Audible and visual alarm indications immediately alert the users of surrounding radiation dangers.

The dose and dose rate readings are stored on the device along with timestamps, which can be used to generate exposure reports. The DSM series covers a wide range of dose rates, from 0.01 mR/hr to 10 R/hr with auto-ranging.
